juggling |
These are the basic steps involved in juggling. Before you start, remember not to move the balls in a circular pattern(throw from left to right, pass from right to left, throw). The following are the steps for the "fountain" pattern where no balls are handed from one hand to the other, they are all thrown through the air.. Step 1
Start with two balls in your first hand and one ball in your second hand. Throw the ball from your first hand into the air.
Step 2 When the first ball reaches its apex, throw the second ball. The first ball will then fall into your second hand, and the second ball will reach its apex.
Step 3 Now, when the second ball reaches its apex, take the third ball, the ball remaining in your first hand, and throw that into the air. The second ball will land in the first hand and the third ball will reach its apex.
Step 4 When the third ball reaches its apex, throw the first ball, now in the second hand, into the air. Continue this process. You will be able to develop more complicated methods of juggling as you improve. Try starting out with only two balls; one in each hand. Throw the first ball, in an arched fashion, to the second hand an when it hits its apex toss the second ball, in and arched fashion, to the first hand. When you become skilled with this add a third ball. Try: under the leg, aroung the back, one handed(using two balls), off the wall, off the leg, and anything else you can come up with!
